Swatch and Review: Zoya Monica
Zoya Monica is the third polish in Zoya’s Designer collection. It’s a very dark, dramatic purple. This polish isn’t my favorite polish in the collection, but it’s an ok color. On to the review…
Zoya describes this polish as a… “Dark, soft blue-toned purple with a glossy cream finish. A bit of vibrant couture color, darkened for a bold, dramatic nail look.”
Here is some info from Zoya.com:
Color Family: Purple, Plum, Burgundy
Color Finish: Creams
Color Intensity: 5 ( 1=Sheer – 5=Opaque )
Color Tone: Cool
This color looks good in the photograph, but in person it isn’t amazing. It’s a bit too dark for my taste, and the blue toned purple isn’t my favorite. I like Toni much better, but for certain occasions or outfits I’m sure I could make it work and many other people may love this color.
As for the formula and application, you have heard me say in almost every Zoya polish review that it’s amazing.
Pros:
- Formula
- Reasonable Price
- Application is very smooth
- Great Brush shape
Cons:
- Not widely available in stores
- Color isn’t amazing
